Cornell joined Runway in February 2025 as Senior Associate of Loan Operations.

Prior to joining the Runway team, Cornell was a Bank Loan Services Officer at State Street in their Loan Services department. He and his team were responsible for overseeing and executing new and existing deal trade fundings within State Street. With seven years of experience in the loan debt space, he is well-versed in deal loan trade settlements, closing reports, and deal loan maintenance. Before State Street, he was a CDO Loan Administrator at US Bank and a Closing Team Analyst for BMO Harris. Cornell attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Finance. Shortly after graduation, he attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received his Master of Science in Finance.
