Runway Growth Credit Fund Inc. and its investment adviser, Runway Growth Capital LLC (collectively, “Runway”), lend capital to help fast-growing, dynamic companies achieve their fullest potential.
An unfortunate consequence of the internet age is that criminals have many more means to conduct fraud. One typical scam involves spoofing or pretending to be a legitimate website or pretending to be an email or text message from trusted companies to trick consumers into giving over their personal or confidential information, or into clicking on a malicious link that embeds a virus on their systems.
When communicating with Runway through digital media, please note the following:
Do not share your password and/or login ID, information regarding your capital commitments to us or borrowing arrangements with us, with anyone, including anyone from Runway – Certain online environments of Runway, including that of our fund sub-administrator, Conifer Financial Services, are private, available only to investors through secure login procedures. Apart from allowing you to use your password and login to enter an authorized site, Runway will never ask you for your password or login information. If you forget your password or login, we will issue you new ones.
Confirm that you are visiting a website authorized by Runway or the website of a vendor authorized by Runway – Before clicking on a hyperlink that purports to direct you to a Runway website or that of one of our authorized vendors, hover your cursor over the link to confirm where it actually resolves. Look closely at the address. Oftentimes, fake sites have an extra letter included or some other close variant of the actual spelling of the legitimate site. Runway’s only authorized web sites are posted through the below-listed domains. No other web site domains are authorized. No other vendors are authorized by Runway to communicate (including requesting or receiving) information through web sites.
Do not communicate or deal with personnel who are not affiliated with an authorized office – All authorized office locations are listed on our website. No other office locations are authorized offices of Runway.
Do not send emails to anyone with an address other than authorized Runway email addresses – Before sending an email to an address that purports to include the domain of a Runway representative or one of our authorized vendors, hover your cursor over the link to confirm the domain associated with the address. Look closely at the email address. Oftentimes, fake email addresses add “mail” or some other word to the legitimate address to trick consumers, or they simply resolve to a Gmail or other commercial web address. Runway only uses the below listed domains for email addresses. Runway does not permit our employees and authorized representatives to send or receive work related emails from personal accounts or any other address.
Do not respond to text messages from anyone purporting to be an employee of, or affiliated with, Runway – Malicious links may also be sent via text message. Runway does not permit our employees and authorized representatives to send or receive work related communications via text. As a result, you should not respond to text messages from anyone purporting to be an employee of, or affiliated with, Runway.
Imposters can use the Runway name in furtherance of a variety of criminal activities. In particular, beware of scams purportedly affiliated with Runway that promise extraordinary returns on your investment at little to no risk. These “high-yield investment programs” are frauds and are unfortunately quite common.
